Gratitude When the World is on Fire.

The world feels like it’s spinning just a little too fast. News cycles that never sleep.
Emotions? Whew…High. Wide. Wild.
War. Violence. Division.
We are living in heavy times. But still…
I keep coming back to this one soft place inside me. Gratitude. There’s something holy about holding on to gratitude.
Not the loud, Instagrammable kind.
Not the kind you say out of obligation at Thanksgiving.
But the quiet kind. The kind that whispers, even in this mess, there’s still hope.
Gratitude for the text from a friend or family member that simply said, thinking of you.
For deep breaths and songs that know how to hold you.
Gratitude doesn’t need things to be perfect.
I think it’s most powerful when things are not.
Real gratitude lives in those quiet moments when nothing makes sense.
Because when the world is on FIRE and your SOUL still says thank you?! That’s a kind of strength NOBODY can take from YOU.
So today, if all you did was survive…If all you could say was I’m still here…
Then I hope you whisper a quiet thank you to GOD.
You’re doing BETTER than you know. And grace is never too far behind.
You don’t have to pretend this season isn’t hard.
But you can choose to remember that God is STILL GOOD in the middle of it.
So...what are you grateful for today?
Love,
Rach
