I've been working in education since I was 15 years old. I worked with children with special needs at a summer camp for three years. After graduating high school, I went on to pursue my Bachelors degree in Elementary education with a major in special education and a minor in English.
I have taught preschool up to middle school over a span of 7 years. I've done public schools and private schools. I've had the chance to meet some pretty amazing children.
Now, I move on to the next chapter in my life. Working for a black owned business has always been my dream and I am doing just that. I want to support my culture for generations to come. I want to learn more about my history so I can spread the news that they don't teach in schools. My history that they are trying to tear out of our curriculums.
I feel like if you are a teacher, you can honestly do anything. With prayer and guidance, I have managed to complete 7 full school years and my students are in one piece (LOL) I also still have my sanity!! KUDOS to me.
I look forward to this season in my life and I can't wait to share my journey ahead.
