Why My Mom is the Ultimate Inspiration: Celebrating International Women's Day

Writer: Rachel GRachel G

Thank you Mama!

I would like to take this time to brag about my Mama and give her many flowers!!

If you really know me you know how goofy and silly I am. I promise you that it’s natural. It stems from my upbringing from my Mom. My Mom provided a safe and positive environment for me where I felt comfortable. So therefore, I would be giddy and happy as a child and that trickled into my adulthood. I wouldn’t be the woman I am today without the support and guidance of my mother.

My mother raised me to put God first in everything that I do.

She taught me how to pray and seek God through the good AND the bad. She was my first teacher when it came to education. She taught me how to see the good in people and how to not stay down. She taught me how to dress and do my hair. She taught me all about makeup and fashion. She introduced me to so many old school songs that I still listen to today. She’s my confidant and always there for me.

Mom, I thank you for you always praying for me. I thank you for sacrificing so much for me so I could live a loving and safe life. I thank you for always turning the bad into good. I thank you for simply always asking if I am okay. I thank you for still looking out for me throughout my adulthood. I Love you so much!

I celebrate today out of Gratitude. I am so grateful that I have a mother that taught me how to be the best woman I can be! (This is why she is very spoiled LOL) Happy Women’s Day ladies!! Love y’all!

Love, Rach
