I was really born in the 90's y'all...
As I sit back and observe the world; I see new trends. I'm not trying to make the latest TikTok because it can't ever replace MySpace. LIKE EVER. I like Instagram better anyways.
When my birthday comes around I reflect on new things I've learned and how much I've grown in the previous year. Last year, I posted things I learned in my 30's. Well, let me share you NEW things I learned in my Jesus year.
1. GET YOURSELF A SKINCARE ROUTINE
I might be late to the party with this but this past Christmas, my twin BLESSED me with an AMAZING holy grail of all skincares. I rarely had issues with my skin before, but as I get older, I wanted to care for my skin a bit more. It's fun to wear makeup however I wanted my skin to be flawless and healthy when the makeup comes off. Therefore I use Sunday Riley products. They are a bit pricey but SO worth it. I look at it as investing in my body...showing my face some self love. I look forward to my routine everynight before I go to bed. So... you know what this means? VLOG ON THEE WAY! You're welcome (in advance).
2. BE EVEN MORE BOLD.
I am still unapologetic for the way I am and will speak my mind. Period. What do I have to lose?
3. STRETCH.
I don't know if you feel this way too but I've NEVER been a fan of stretching. I HATED doing stretches before and after workouts. I would just workout and then go about my day. Now, when I workout and try to go about my day...my body is like RACH WTF. I've had trainers in the past that showed me the correct ways to stretch and NOW I am taking their word for it.
4. READ, READ, and READ SOME MORE
I read a post on IG the other day and it said to try to aim to read about 16 pages per day. Now let's do the math. If you read 16 pages for 365 days, that's 5,840 pages of knowledge that you just fed your brain. This is such an easy task to complete and I love diving into a good book. I feel like it just takes me to another world.
5. PRAY GIRL PRAY
As you know, I am a Christian. It's simple to pray a easy quick prayer to get you through the day, however I've learned that I feel much better when I pray to God about SPECIFIC things. Yes, God knows everything but when I started making prayer a conversation, I feel more free. Free to tell God everything and anything since HE already knows it. Seriously...having a little talk with Jesus really makes it alright.
Thank you for all of your beautiful birthday wishes. I am so grateful for each of you.
Happy Birthday to me!
Love, Rach
