This is a safe place. Share your experiences too...

By 2023 I'm gonna [insert what you plan to do here].
January comes, January goes...and there you are...skipping the gym for 3 weeks.
We have all done above right? Where we become motivated by someone or something and we realize "Hey, I can do that too!" We write out a whole plan and get excited. "New year, New me...I'mma get it".
Then that motivation just leaves. We make excuses. We let fear get in the way. etc. etc. etc.
According to statistics and research shows that 43% of people expect to give up on their New Years resolutions after just one month.
What can we do different to actually stick to our goals? I made a top 3 quick list to help us out.
We only focus on the end result which makes us ignore the process that comes with getting to the end!
If you want to lose weight, it's not going to happen over night. In our society we want it NOW NOW NOW. Losing weight the healthy way takes time. So if your goal is to lose weight in 2023, make a plan for at least the first six months of the year. It's hard to break a habit but it CAN be done. People have done it before and YOU can too. If you need a little help click on the two links below and see how I did it. My story could help you!
2. Don't Treat the Marathon like you spritininggggg...Girl/Boy stoppp!
This is a continuation of what I put above. In the world of instant gratification, sometimes it takes awhile to accept that it's going to take TIME to reach our goals. You can't remodel your whole entire life overnight and expect the results to be instant. Take baby steps and wrap your mind around the concept that good things take time.
3. 52 Mondays... - Make each Monday a "Mini New Years"
Starting on January 1st, 2023, we have 52 Mondays to look forward to. How about making every Monday a new year with small reasonable goals? I read something like this online and it stuck with me. It was a totally different approach when it comes to reaching goals in the new year. It actually seems more achievable to me. You can check in with your process every week instead of the whole year. I love this and I'm gonna do this. You should too!
Okay so Happy 2023! Praying that you have a beautiful and safe year!
Love, Rach
